Ingredients
50g Allied Pinnacle Plain Flour |
50g Unsalted Butter |
500mL Milk |
Method
- Place butter into a medium size saucepan and melt.
- Add in the Plain Flour and stir to create the rue. Cook this out for approximately 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to a medium and slowly add milk. Every time milk is added, stir with a wooden spoon to fully incorporate (sauce will be lumpy if milk is added to fast)
- Once all the milk has been added, stir continuously until the sauce comes to the boil. Simmer for 2 minutes and season with salt and white pepper.

To make a Bechamel sauce, add 100g of mozzarella cheese and 100g of tasty cheese after the sauce has simmered.
