Ingredients
400g Atta flour |
2 Tbsp Sugar |
10g Salt |
50mL Vegetable Oil |
260mL Luke Warm Water |
Method
- Place Atta Flour into a bowl followed by sugar and salt and lightly mix. once mixed, add the vegetable oil.
- Gradually add water until the dough becomes as firm as your earlobes. Knead until smooth on a floured bench. Add flour as needed to make the dough come together to form a soft dough.
- Cover in plastic wrap and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Evenly divide the dough into 6 and roll each piece into a ball and cover with plastic wrap.
- Lightly flatten 1 ball at a time into a round circle with your hand. Roll out with a rolling pin until thin and even in thickness – shake off excess flour.
- Heat frying pan on high heat and spray with cooking oil. Place flat bread into fry pan and when it starts to bubble, flip onto the other side.
- Place kitchen towel over Chapati Breads to prevent them from drying out.
